June is often a month of contrasting weather. The contrasting garden colors were also on display. On this day and in this week, cool weather and sunny skies prevailed. Garden steward Sue scheduled a midweek work party to move fruit out of the garden and into waiting hands.
Harvesting netted 10 lbs of raspberries to the North Helpline Food Bank and 50 lbs of garlic bulbs also were sent along. It takes many hands to make the donations happen and Meadowbrook and surrounding communities give their time to make it happen. Thanks to all and know those in need also experience some community ‘care’ time as part of this effort.
