Distributing, Understanding, Friendship

Distribution of gifts this year had a new wrinkle.  MC2’s each years annual review of the Lake City Holiday Project (LCHP) encouraged us all to tell the story. Each year, gifts are presented to all clients of the many different human service providers.  In essence, families registered to the LCHP come from all walks of life.

Working with the good citizens/workers of the North Seattle Family Center, MC2 committed to giving voice to the diversity that is Northeast Seattle area.  Two displays sharing culture to clients picking up and volunteers there to assist, were put together. The goal was to not only deliver gifts and make new relationships but also to share in the many similarities we all have.  Treats, crafts and information all builds awareness and gave everyone a brief opportunity to ‘be’ in community. Good work by all,
