CARE for our native Spring Pollinators

Mason Bees in Meadowbrook / March 5: Native Spring Pollinators in YOUR yard

Come learn about one of our important native pollinators, the blue orchard mason bee. These bees are some of our earliest emerging native pollinators and are crucial to the health of our Pacific Northwest ecosystems. Biologist Olivia Shangrow ( will share information about how to support these important bees and how you can host them in your yard for the spring.

MC2 advocates for  Meadowbrook Community Garden & Orchard (MCGO) and will be hosting a demonstration mason bee kit this spring. Be sure to visit throughout the season to watch these bees hard at work and perhaps choose to host a kit in your own backyard! Meadowbrook Community CARE (MC2) welcomes Olivia Shangrow to Meadowbrook on Monday March 5, 7pm in the Community Hall of Maple Leaf Lutheran Church (10005 32nd Ave NE, Seattle, WA 98125).
