School Kid Gift

A rainy day at Meadowbrook Orchard set the stage for gift exchange. With youth engagement in our community acting like a long time celebration, Waldorf 6th graders returned to finish their offering to the community.

Back in October 2019, these same students practiced new pruning skills and prepped planting sites for a Spring 2020 gift sharing.

Thanks for this kind gesture began with instructor Charlotte Rasmussen working with the Waldorf School and their outreach into the community.

Late January 2020 and MCGO was bubbling with activity. Although very wet, students enjoyed the experience. Sharing correct planting methods and soil preparation gives students a better base knowledge and an invitation to watch their work and gift grow with them. The Italian Prune Plum trees will grow amongst the other Orchard trees enjoying rain, sunshine and CARE.
