With Moscow getting so much news of late, its necessary to know that, not only is there another ‘Washington’ (state) but also another ‘Moscow’. The one in Idaho came to visit, serve and make a positive impact here in Seattle this past March. Home to University of Idaho, students came to give back most of the week to ‘Rebuild Seattle Together’ (http://www.rtseattle.org/)
A day at MCGO was also on the itinerary. The group was busy performing correct cuts on pruning in North Orchard, and mulching Apple Orchard and Edible Hedge. Cuttings were also hauled to East Orchard; hard work and helpful too. Not only was the group busy day to day but they also made time to shop and prepare sack lunches for shelter residents. Staying on site in the same building as shelter residents brings home the multilayered issue and the challenges faced by the community. A lot of success for one week. Thank you Vandals…
