The Norcliffe Foundation recently awarded a 2021 grant to MC2’s After School Program. It is timely and needed, as support for children lacking educational development and support during the year-long pandemic has been decreased. It is a detriment to families goals for their children and the long term development of their educational skills.
Kaela Cunningham, the on-site director, has maintained a minimum number of students, in a ‘zoom’ mode during pandemic shutdown. Direction and support from Olympic Hills Elementary has been critical to maintaining CARE for our community’s future leaders. It couldn’t happen without OHE guidance. What’s in store, going forward?
The Grant allows continued funding of on-site director. At present, the program is integrating returning tutors and the use of online curriculum. Ramping up more students and matching with more tutors is the goal of Spring 2021. Hug your loved ones,
