The 2021 Lake City Holiday Project is Here!

Last year, the Lake City Holiday Project made a paradigm shift in the way we run our program in response to the public health emergency that, now a year later, continues to profoundly impact our lives. We will never forget how completely our community embraced this change and we feel immense gratitude to everyone who went out of their way to make donations to provide holiday gift support to needy children in our neighborhoods. Thank you!

We have launched the 2021 Lake City Holiday Project and we have decided that we must continue to do what we can to protect volunteers, donors and clients alike. We will once again use a gift-card-only format for the 2021 holiday season. In order to continue to provide holiday support to families in our community we will use minimal-contact purchase and donation of gift cards for families and no-contact cash donations for our team to purchase gift cards for families.

To support a child’s gift through SPONSORSHIP:

  1. Visit our LCHP SPONSOR FORM
  2. Choose the number of children to sponsor
  3. Receive your assignment during the 1st week of November
  4. Return your donation by December 1st (instructions provided with assignment)
  5. Your commitment: $50 of gift cards per child; optional: $25 grocery gift card for every two children.

To support a child’s gift through financial DONATION:

The deadline for donating gift cards or cash is December 1, 2021 and the distribution to families will be December 8, 2021. Last year we raised more than $40,000 in total donations and provided gift cards for 574 children and 231 families. We know we can do the same again!

We are now in the 35th year since the founding of this project, and as always, it is an honor to work with this community of friends and neighbors.
