With the 2022 Fall season in ‘bloom’, Waldorf School students resume their service commitment with Seattle Parks. Growing food at MCGO has been productive, with harvests, care and upgrades a constant effort and need for care.
The sixth grade class began the visit viewing staked grape trellis on the North Orchard trail, before breaking into small groups. Trail improvements involved community donated stacking rock, trenching and transport labor. Many hands, great results.
The hard working clean-ups in the quince row, little apple orchard and weed removal were tasks achieved by Ms Charlotte’s sixth grade class. We appreciate our Waldorf neighbors. With the many hands, the orchard is a little closer to a winters nap.
