Safe and happy trails!

Between a very wet and slippery slope at MCGO and a SPR move to not mow the Orchard/playfield, the large open space in Meadowbrook is now looking very different. A recent work party of local Waldorf students provided some timely care.

With the advantage of no gas mowing during the growing season and a budget savings of less work hours, the SPR change is also an effort to expand pollinator habitat. A recent SPR sign (shown) was posted in the field to explain the change.

Given the terrain, wet conditions and slope, the student effort also gives walkers a sturdy path to navigate between the now field of high grass, bugs and puddles of water. Thanks to Ms. Charlotte and Waldorf 7th graders. Happy trails, safe travels and a great holiday season to all who enjoy the wilds of Meadowbrook.
