MC2 gets snap peas in the ground

Many thanks to the hardworking volunteers at MCGO. Each growing season, the crew mobilizes many varied resources. Cleaning plastic containers, securing seed donations, making sure enough soil is on hand and getting the word out.

MC2’s Courtyard Garden at the Church will be caring for snap peas this season with the on-site shelter and Lake City’s Food Bank in mind. The snap pea planting is really a great addition to anyone’s diet. Convenient and hardy, sunshine and good steady source of water, they will thrive.

MCGO also puts together the usual late Spring planting of the usual offerings. Tomatoes, egg plant, cucumbers and zucchini are the standard being offered. Both MCGO and MC2 dedicate most of their harvest the food bank in Lake City. Great work, great community care.
